Dil Bechara director Mukesh Chhabra reveals the promise he made to Sushant Singh Rajput which will remain unfulfilled

Dil Bechara director Mukesh Chhabra recently held a question and answer session on Twitter and spoke about his upcoming film. Responding to a Twitter user he revealed a promise he had made to the actor which will now remain unfulfilled. 

Mukesh Chhabra had promised Sushant Singh Rajput, the lead actor of his film that he will bring him and Ansel Elgort together on stage during the trailer launch of the film. Ansel starred in the film The Fault In Our Stars. Dil Bechara is the official remake of the Hollywood film which was an adaptation of John Green's novel The Fault In Our Stars. 

“It was my dream to bring them together, but as they say, not every dream can be turned into reality. I wanted to bring Ansel Elgort and Sushant together for Dil Bechara’s trailer launch. Everyone was very happy when Ansel had tweeted about the film a year-and-a-half ago,” Mukesh tweeted.

Responding to another Twitter user Mukesh revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput did not watch the final film. “Sushant had seen the film while dubbing. But I’m sad that he couldn’t watch the final film. It’s my first film, but I don’t know whether to feel happy or sad. I can’t understand my own emotions,”  he wrote.

Dil Bechara which stars debutant Sanjana Sanghi as the female lead will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24.
