Actor Akshay Kumar, who recently wrapped the shoot of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in Jordan, was seen in Abu Dhabi for the inauguration of the city's first Hindu stone temple. India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in attendance to inaugurate the temple. Akshay on Wednesday also made his presence felt when he arrived at the venue along with his team.
In the video viral on social media shared by TV9 Digital, Akshay Kumar was surrounded by security and a lot of other people as he walked towards the temple. He was dressed in an off-white kurta. Grammy-winning musician Shankar Mahadevan was also in attendance.

The temple was built by the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS). The Prime Minister of India thanked the President of UAE Sheikh Mohammad Zayed Al Nahyan for making the grand temple. “I hope that the BAPS Mandir will become a symbol of communal harmony and global unity for the whole world,” Modi said, while addressing the crowd in Dubai on Wednesday. “We do not see hatred in diversity, we consider diversity as our speciality! In this temple, we will see a glimpse of diverse faiths at each and every step.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay Kumar has an array of line-ups including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sarfira, Welcome To The Jungle, Hera Pheri 3, Housefull 5, Khel Khel Mein, Sky Force and Psycho.
