From being the ‘Chocolate boy’ of the silver screen to an accomplished director, Deepak Tijori has managed to leave an impression on the audience. Besides being an actor, he also donned the hat of a director for a bunch of projects. For the unversed, he made his directorial debut with the 2003’s release Oops. In a fun rapid-fire round with Bollywood Hungama, the actor-turned-director briefly spoke about Oops. It all happened when we asked the 61-year-old actor - if Oops was released today do you think it would have done better? In his immediate reply, Deepak said, “Extremely well.” He further added, I really have been so many people calling me even now that let us see Oops again. I'm trying to work out.” He went on to explain, “English version, I have it with me.” Later, he added that many are asking him to convert it into a series. He said, “Kuch kar le iska. Tuney uss time par banai, bohot early banai thi. Isko aaj ki audience ke saath mai sab justified hai (People have told me that Oops was way ahead of its time. And, today’s audience accepts this type of content). As the conversation progressed further, Tijori also gave a shout-out to OTT for giving more opportunities to actors. He said, “OTT is doing miraculous things today is miraculous. I think the number of stories that they are telling and then the characterization that people are bringing out; a lot of things which we cannot do in cinema are easily passed off with this.” Also Read: EXCLUSIVE: Deepak Tijori reveals he narrated Baazigar to Abbas Mustan; regrets losing it Shah Rukh Khan as he didn’t want to “play dirty”, watch
