21st-century pop icons BTS continue to spread joy and positivity with their music. The instrumental versions of each are also part of the tracklist.

BTS drops Wild West themed 'Permission To Dance' music video with a thoughtful message

The music video begins with a waitress wearing a mask and holding a plate of pancakes as she looks outside the window. The song begins with Jungkook, donning a cowboy look and giving major emo vibes, letting go of a purple balloon of 'hope' whilst seated on a trailer truck with messages written "Just keep the right vibe" and "Live just like we are golden." You see him with RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V, dressed in cowboy outfits, at a laundry store as Suga plays piano with them just grooving, and vibing in the sunny weather. The septet goes back and forth between showing slick easy-breezy moves and crooning the lyrics.

In the teaser, Suga held a newspaper with headlines that read, "Purple balloons signal the end of covid-19", "Goodbye Covid-19", "Our life goes on" which is a callback to their song 'Life Goes On' from their last album 'BE', "We all worked together to overcome this. Nothing could stop us," "2022 - the beginning of a new era" and "BYE". In the music video, J-Hope points at a signboard that has names mentioned of Seoul, ARMY, San Francisco, London, Kenya, Moscow, Egypt, Berlin, and Paris hinting at possible tour maybe, next year?

Towards the end of the music video, you see the dancers from The Lab, who previously participated in J-Hope's single 'Chicken Noodle Soup' ft. Becky G and BTS' song 'ON' from Map Of The Soul: 7, who join BTS for a free-spirited dance routine as scenes of people removing their masks are mixed with the dance scenes. It is a powerful scene that is reminiscent of hope in the future, life without masks without any restrictions or limitations.

The music video showcases a diverse group of people from all parts of the world - workers from several fields like office workers, waiters, and students, children depicting how lives completing changed for everyone around the world amid the pandemic. They pay homage to the workers who continued to work through the pandemic whereas children and students who lost their precious growing moments and are now living in the new normal. BTS also incorporates international sign language for peace, joy, and dance through their dance moves. The artistic expression in this music video is the sheer brilliance of BTS and their team to continue to shed light on the current scenario. Instead of dwelling in the past, the message is juxtaposed with the message to continue to move ahead. BTS once again shows their unrivalled skills and charm through this pop anthem as they speak the language of comfort.

Belonging to the dance-pop genre, 'Permission to Dance' is another fun song for everyone to enjoy, prompting listeners to bop their heads and bust some dance moves. World-renowned musician Ed Sheeran and British producer Steve Mac, Jenna Andrews, and Johnny McDaid partook in making the song.

Just as the lyrics go, the song spreads the message that you don’t need permission to dance to your heart’s content, dedicated to anyone who is having a bad day or is discouraged in the face of reality. Words of encouragement overflow upon a bouncy rhythm that gives the energy to get up on your feet and dance again - "I wanna dance / The music's got me going / Ain't nothing that can stop how we move, yeah / Let's break our plans / And live just like we're golden / And roll in like we're dancing fools."

The performance sheds spotlight on BTS’ energetic charms. The dance moves are easy to emulate so that anyone can effortlessly dance along to the free-spirited yet familiar BTS-style choreography. The energy is transmitted throughout the music video as well. Oozing radiant vibes from start to finish, the music video for the song is like a breeze of fresh energy, showcasing the seven members dancing with everybody else.

Their latest summer smash hit 'Butter' has topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for six consecutive weeks, which marks their longest run on the No. 1 spot by any group in history. The septet will show the U.S. TV premiere of 'Permission to Dance' on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for two nights on July 13 and 14.
