Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise has sent shockwaves across the nation. His family is hoping for the CBI probe after Centre told Supreme Court that CBI will take the case on the request of the Bihar Government. His sister Shweta Singh Kirti has released a video in which she is urging everyone to stand with him and ask for the CBI probe.
Sharing the video, Shweta Singh Kirti tagged the Instagram handles of PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah amd wrote, "We stand together as a nation for CBI Enquiry! Demanding an unbiased investigation is our right and we expect nothing but the truth to come out. #CBIForSSR #Warriors4SSR #justiceforSushanthSinghRajput @PMOIndia @narendramodi @AmitShah."
The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI), on August 6, registered an FIR against six people including Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. The others named in the FIR are Rhea's brother Showik Chakraborty, father Indrajit Chakraborty, mother Sandhya Chakraborty, Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi. The charges leveled against the six of them are abetment to suicide, criminal conspiracy, theft, cheating, intimidation, wrongful restraint, or confinement, among others.
On August 11, the Supreme Court heard Rhea Chakraborty's plea and will announce its verdict on August 13.
Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14. He was found hanging at his Bandra apartment.
