India is presently under a 21-day lock-down, in order to contain the spread of Covid-19. Along with other industries, Bollywood has come to a stand-still too. Stars, right now, are playing an instrumental role in explaining the necessity of social distancing and staying home. Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, in a video, broke down while narrating a story from Italy.
"A 93-year-old man in Italy recovered from Coronavirus. As he was about to leave the hospital, the doctor asked him to settle the bill for ventilator. The old man broke down. The doctor thought the old man had no money to pay. The old man said, 'I have plenty of money. But I just realised that I am indebted to god. All my life, he let me breathe for free. Today, I am having to pay for the ventilator that helped me breathe," Kapoor is heard saying, as he tears up.
"These words are stuck in my heart. We never have these thoughts unless we are at the hospital. Take care of yourselves, stay home and realise how precious your life is," he added, requesting everyone to stay indoors.
His daughter Shraddha Kapoor, meanwhile, is also utilising the lock-down to spend time with the family.
