Shah Rukh Khan teaches the ‘value of God’ to kids Aryan and Suhana in this old Diwali celebration video going viral; watch

Known as the OG power couple of B-town, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan has been setting couple goals for years together. During the occasion of Diwali, a video found its way on social media where SRK seems to be explaining the importance of God to his kids. While the actor and his entrepreneur-wife have often come under the scanner for their inter-faith wedding, the video which is a short clip from the BBC documentary, the Inner World of Shah Rukh Khan showcases how Khan maintains a secular environment within his home.

The sweet video which was a part of the 2004 documentary features the Diwali celebration at Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s residence, where the couple seems to be busy teaching their children the value of God and also about each other’s culture. Along with showcasing a glimpse of Mannat which looked much simpler then, features Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan talking to a priest along with the actor telling him that his children will do the ‘Diwali pooja’. At the same time, he also taught them about Quran and how he prays, showcasing the religious unity and secularism in his household.

In the video, the actor is seen explaining how religion is followed in his house as he shared, "Children should know about value of God, whether it's a Hindu god or a Muslim god. So, next to Ganesh and Laxmi, we have the Quran also. We put our hands together and say the Gayatri Mantra, which my son says, and I say 'bismillah' with him. It makes me feel very emotional, where I'm teaching my children something that I also don't know very well. I'm not a great follower of religion. I believe in Allah very strongly, but I was never forced by my parents to read the namaz five times a day."

As the video continued to showcase how the children prayed and showcased their respect towards both religions and customs, he went on to add, "To me, it's very important to have a Diwali in the house, Eid in the house. We e do Christmas, we put up the tree. The kids enjoy that the most, really."

Inspired by the epic saga of Ramayana, Singham Again is the modern-day retelling of ‘Seeta Apaharan’ and its aftermath. EXCLUSIVE: DOP Manu Anand talks about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: “When you have beautiful subjects like Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit, lighting karna aasaan hota hai”; praises Kartik Aaryan: “Unki yaadadaasht mashallah hai; for Dhamaka, he memorized 15-20 page long dialogues”

We have seen famous actor-director jodis like Shah Rukh Khan-Yash Chopra, Govinda-David Dhawan etc. And now, in a rare instance, an actor-DOP jodi has emerged. Manu Anand, the cinematographer, has worked with Kartik Aaryan on Dhamaka (2021), Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022), Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and also on the promotional songs in Shehzada (2023) and Satyaprem Ki Katha (2023). In an exclusive interview to Bollywood Hungama, Manu Anand talked about his association with Kartik as well as director Anees Bazmee and a lot more.

How did this actor-DOP jodi come about with you and Kartik Aaryan?

Kudrat ka khel hai (smiles). Kartik was working on some films and I got a chance to work on them too. Then the DOPs of those two films (Shehzada, Satyaprem Ki Katha) were busy when the makers thought of shooting the song. Hence, I was approached. It’s a coincidence and also serendipity. It’s our third film together and the pairing just happened. But the output has always been great, be it the films or the songs. He trusts me and I guess that’s why, he tells the producers and actors to take me for the promotional song shoots.

How was it working with Anees Bazmee for the second time?

There’s also one more jodi at play – Anees Bazmee and I; we both worked together in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. There are famous directors who have had a great bond with their DOPs, like Steven Spielberg-Janusz Kamiński. When you work repeatedly with a director, aapki tuning bahut zabardast ho jaati hai. I met Anees bhai for the narration of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. It turned out to be the best narration of my life. Some directors read from the script while narrating. But Anees bhai remembers the whole film. He narrates with his full energy as if someone is giving a live performance! I immediately gave my nod after the narration. I was anyway a fan of his work and also of the comedy genre.

Usually, on the first day, the DOP won’t know about the director’s way of functioning and vice versa. But we hit it off instantly. He gives a lot of space and also a lot of responsibility with regard to the look of the film. He is receptive to new ideas and is also a secure director. Unki aur meri jodi miyan-biwi jaisi jodi hai! At times, he would complete my sentence and sometimes, I would complete his sentence.

How was it shooting the two legendary actresses, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit, especially for the song ‘Ami Je Tomar 3.0’?

As a director of photography, it was a big responsibility as we knew that we had to make it a historic song since it featured a dance between OG Manjulika Vidya Balan along with dance goddess Madhuri Dixit. Wohresponsibility aapko darr ke aage khauff ke paas le jaata hai aur woh khauff aapko inspire karta hai (smiles).

I am very strict about the colour palette. Costume designer Niharika Bhasin ji made lovely costumes for both actresses. They are designed that way for a particular reason. It also looks natural. Lighting was not difficult. Jab aapke subjects hi itne khoobsurat hote hai, toh lighting karna aasaan ho jaata hai! Yet, I was particular that I wanted a chamak in the song. Hopefully, you’ll get to see that spark when you see the song in the film.

Since you have worked with Kartik Aaryan so many times, please tell us something about him that no one knows…

The passion that he has for his work is praiseworthy. Also, unki yaadadaasht mashallah hai! That’s why he was able to do the monologue so well (in Pyaar Ka Punchnama series). I worked with him in Dhamaka (2021), which we shot in just 10-11 days. It used to have 15-20 minute long takes. Hence, he had to memorize 15-20 page long dialogues. In case of a retake, he had to start from scratch. In 4 days, we had completed a shoot of 56 to 60 pages. Director Ram Madhvani has a zabardast way of shooting, which we calls the 360-degree shooting style. He would allow the actor all the freedom to move around while the camera would follow their movement. For that, the actor needs to remember a lot of stuff. This is when it struck me that Kartik has a sharp memory and could easily remember his lines.

Singham Again’s release postponed in Singapore; Ajay Devgn-starrer and Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 banned in Saudi Arabia

The Hindi moviegoers are all set for the biggest clash of the year that will take place tomorrow, Friday, November 1, at the box office, between Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Both films will have a wide release and also overseas. However, moviegoers in some parts won’t be able to enjoy the Diwali biggies while those in Singapore will have to wait until a week to catch the Ajay Devgn-starrer.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that Singham Again’s release has been pushed by a week. As per sources, the decision was taken as the Censor process wasn’t completed on time. A source told us, “Singapore Censor Board is very strict and particular and has been known to behave this way. In the past as well, many films have suffered in a similar fashion.”

The source further said, “Singham Again is now expected to release next week, that is, Thursday, November 7.” As per the official press note, Singham Again will have a wide overseas release in 1900 screens, including a record-breaking 197 screens in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. In North America, it will be shown in more than 760 screens and in Canada, it has secured the highest number of screens in Cineplex, which contributes 80% of Canada’s box office. In the UK and Ireland, Singham Again has secured showcasing in 224 cinemas.

Meanwhile, Singham Again and the other Diwali release, the Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, have both been banned in Saudi Arabia. As per reports, while Singham Again will not release in the Asian country due to portrayal of 'religious conflict', Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is banned over homosexual references.

Besides Ajay Devgn, Singham Again also stars Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. It is directed by Rohit Shetty. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee, also features Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri.

BREAKING: Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 show sharing issues RESOLVED; advance booking begins with a BANG; Mumbai multiplex sets a RECORD by selling regular tickets for Rs. 1080

The epic clash of Singham Again vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is all set to take place in less than 48 hours and the excitement is tremendous. However, the exhibition sector was suffering as the show-sharing issues were not getting resolved. Many feared that the conflict would get resolved on Thursday night as it happened during Sooryavanshi vs Eternals clash on Diwali 2021. But in a pleasant turn of events, the show-sharing battle got over on the night of Tuesday, October 29. The advance booking for both films was open across the country soon after.

As per the details accessed by Bollywood Hungama, 60% of the shows have been allotted to Singham Again while 40% of the shows have been given to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. This arrangement can be seen in all major multiplex chains like PVR Inox, MovieMax, NY Cinemas, Rajhans, MovieTime, Miraj etc. However, in Cinepolis theatres, while Singham Again has been given 58% of shows, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has been allotted 42% of shows.

In the single screens, too, the ratio is 60:40 in favour of Singham Again. This means that these cinema halls will play 3 shows of Singham Again and 2 shows of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Certain single screens are known to play only 4 shows a day but this Diwali, they’ll make an exception and have 5 shows daily. Iconic cinemas like Raj Mandir, Jaipur and Liberty, Delhi are going to have 5 shows a day, which is a rare phenomenon.

However, as per sources, some single screen theatres have chosen to allot all shows to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 while some will play Singham Again in all shows. A similar scenario had emerged during the last such mega clash between Dunki and Salaar on Christmas 2023.

Skyhigh ticket rates

Meanwhile, get ready to shell out a huge amount while watching Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The theatres are all set to sell tickets of these films at blockbuster rates. Some multiplexes also have record ticket prices.

For example, PVR Maison at Jio World Drive, BKC, Mumbai are selling tickets for the regular seats (Prime Plus class) for as high as Rs. 1080 for the evening and night shows of Singham Again. And yet, these 2 shows are fast-filling already, which shows that there’s tremendous demand.

In the same interview, Vicky shared that he is curious to explore film direction. He mentioned that he finds it fascinating to see different approaches in filmmaking. However, he is not sure if he would take that step right now, but he is “definitely intrigued.”

Vicky Kaushal's last appearance was in Bad Newz, a romantic comedy directed by Anand Tiwari and featuring Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk, though it didn’t achieve the expected box office results. He’ll next appear in Chhava, portraying Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna. The film is set for a December release.

Additionally, Vicky will star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated epic Love & War, with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Originally scheduled for Christmas 2025, the film's release has been moved to March 20, 2026.

Paras Kalnawat and Nidhi Shah may have just dropped a hint about Rupali Ganguly being responsible for their exit; say, “Our scenes were cut”

Anupama has garnered quite a bit of eyeballs recently and not for a good reason. The sudden exit of some of the most popular actors from the show has definitely piqued the interest of audiences. The Star Plus show, which has managed to keep up with the likes and demands of viewers for the past two years by retaining its top position in terms of TRP, found itself in soup after Sudhanshu Pandey playing Vanraj Shah, one of the three key protagonists on the show, decided to call it quits. Followed by that, a leap was announced which resulted in the exit of most of the actors from the show including Madalsa Sharma, Nidhi Shah, Nishi Saxena, Kunwar Amar, among others.

While during a past interview, Madalsa, who played Kavya in the Star Plus show, opened up about how her relationship with Rupali Ganguly gradually fell apart and even accused of the actress of talking behind her back, Paras Kalnawat and Nidhi Shah too may have hinted about Rupali Ganguly. Although neither of them took names, the two actors asserted that they were facing several issues on the sets of Anupama, which eventually led to their exit. Speaking about how he was thrown out of the show over two years ago in a podcast with Bhaktiyar Irani and Ali Asgar, Paras, who played Anupama’s youngest son Samar, revealed that he wanted out of the show but the contract was such that he couldn’t quit.

“It’s been two and a half years now; I was the first one to leave. It was all of a sudden. I didn’t know if I was quitting or being thrown out. I wanted to leave, but they don’t have a policy where you can quit. They can only fire you; they get satisfaction in doing that. There is no exit clause; if you want to leave, the terms go bad." He also went on to add that he wanted his track to get better but it wasn’t possible because of ‘a certain person’. "I wanted my track to grow, but someone had abruptly ended it. I know who it was. But because it was the number one show, the channel never intervened. If someone said she had a problem shooting with me, no one would question her. Everyone knows who had the problem”, he added.

Nidhi Shah too supported the statement by adding how she had reached her trigger point because of ‘a person’. “There had come a trigger point; it was a person. Our scenes were repetitive, and we kept fighting. At one point, we just didn’t want to do the scenes. There was a time when we just didn’t want to work with each other on the show. We would just want to stay away from each other on set too," she shared and also continued, “My scenes were cut too, and there was an issue with my clothes and hair as well. It happened to me a lot because I was given better clothes.”

When asked directly about facing issues with Rupali Ganguly, Shah maintained, “She is a talented actress, and I’m not just being diplomatic. Out of the ten of us, a couple created issues.”

Apart from speaking about themselves, Nidhi also threw light on the fact that Sudhanshu Pandey was extremely unwell but was forced to shoot long scenes with extensive dialogues.

For the unversed, Anupama is one of the most popular television serials which airs on Star Plus, featuring Rupali in the titular character and is produced by Rajan Shahi.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to hit theaters on November 1, featuring an impressive lineup that includes Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri in key roles. Director Anees Bazmee has teased an unexpected twist, noting that Triptii’s performance will amaze viewers. He also highlighted her dynamic on-screen connection with Kartik as a standout element.

Speaking with News 18, Anees Bazmee disclosed that although the trailer hints in one direction, Triptii Dimri's role is far more significant and central to the plot's twists. He shared that other actors were initially considered for the part, but casting her proved to be an excellent decision.

The director also emphasized that her role isn’t limited to a few musical scenes her character and performance will surprise audiences, unveiling unexpected layers to her role. He said, “She’s going to shock everyone with her role and performance. They’re sure to say, ‘Achcha, iss tarah hai unka role? Humne toh kabhi socha hi nahi tha.’”

Anees remarked that while talent and dedication are essential, success often needs a bit of luck as well. Triptii, however, possesses a unique mix of qualities. He noted that she’s not only talented and hardworking but also brings warmth and charisma to the set.

Anees quickly recognized Triptii Dimri’s natural compatibility with Kartik Aaryan after meeting her, making her an ideal choice for the role. He stated, “When Triptii came to my mind and then I met her, I realized that she’ll look really good with Kartik.”

He added that Triptii wasn’t the initial choice, as various factors had to be considered. However, she eventually came to mind unexpectedly, leading him to think she might be the perfect fit for the part.

Triptii’s casting emerged as Anees brainstormed new faces who hadn’t previously worked with Kartik, aiming to introduce a fresh dynamic in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. After seeing the results, the entire team believes she was the ideal choice. Her performance has convinced them that no one else could have delivered the same energy, with her on-screen presence proving to be both striking and captivating.

Anees also commended Triptii’s work in Animal with Ranbir Kapoor, recognizing that her growing popularity reflects years of consistent progress and commitment. He observed that her journey wasn’t about overnight fame; instead, her success is rooted in a foundation of hard work across multiple projects.

Over the past seven to eight years, she has steadily delivered standout performances in films like Bulbbul and Qala, gradually establishing her place in the industry.

On the work front, Triptii was last seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, released on October 11, 2024, where she starred with Rajkummar Rao as a 90s-era married couple.

The film also featured strong performances from Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, Archana Puran Singh, and Tiku Talsania. Up next, Triptii will appear in the horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

He went on to continue and recite words from one of the most popular works of his father and renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. “In it, he speaks of how his friends tell him he must write a will stating what he plans to leave for his sons, as nowadays a son often needs to go to court to prove he is his father’s son,” he explained. He went on to quote the powerful lines: “Mere bete, bete hone se mere uttaradhikari nahi honge. Jo mere uttaradhikari honge, woh mere bete honge (Being born as my son, doesn’t make you my heir. The one who is my true heir is my son). Nag, you and your family have proven that you are the true inheritors of this great personality”, he added.

And it seems that she has bagged an interesting venture which will feature her alongside popular actor Vikrant Massey, basking in the success of 12th Fail. The film in question is a romantic drama titled Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan and while reports of the same started surfacing earlier this month, the makers along with the cast have confirmed that the film has gone on floors.

Vikrant Massey confirmed the news by posting pictures on his social media platform. 10 Years of Haider: How ‘Bismil’ sparked a tourism boom at Martand Sun Temple; haunting song from Shahid Kapoor-starrer also holds a Sanjeev Kumar connection

The acclaimed film Haider (2014) completed 10 years on October 2. Starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Tabu and Kay Kay Menon, it is considered one of the finest films by director Vishal Bhardwaj. It is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello and is set in Kashmir where a young student goes on a path of self-destruction after his father is murdered. One of the most memorable parts of the film is when Shahid Kapoor performs the haunting song ‘Bismil’. The song was shot at Martand Sun Temple in Kashmir and thanks to this film, this historical place became widely popular among tourists. It’s a great example of how film tourism can impact tourism positively.

This piece of information was shared by Vishal Bhardwaj when he attended the Tourism Development Enclave in Srinagar earlier this year. Along with Vishal, prominent film personalities like Imtiaz Ali, Kabir Khan and Sanjay Suri also graced this event. Here, Vishal Bhardwaj revealed that ‘Bismil’ led to a spike in the footfalls at Martand Sun Temple. The filmmaker further said that the increase in tourist activity prompted the ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) to remove encroachments from the site.

The Martand Sun Temple is located around 10 km away from the town of Anantnag in Kashmir and was constructed in the eighth century BC.

‘Bismil’ was penned hauntingly by Gulzar and interestingly, this is the second song of the acclaimed lyricist to be shot in Martand Sun Temple. His much loved song ‘Tere Bina Zindagi Se Koi Shikwa Toh Nahi’ from his directorial venture Aandhi (1975), featuring Suchitra Sen and Sanjeev Kumar, was incidentally also shot in the same place.

Coming back to 'Bismil', the song has also been loved for the thought behind it. Vishal Bhardwaj, in a recent interview with The Times of India, revealed his inspiration behind the visuals of the track, “We created this song like a mousetrap where Shahid performs a play within a play. I wanted to create our own ‘Ek Hasina Thi Ek Deewana Tha’ moment in my way for Hamlet (laughs). Karz (1980) had a similar situation where Rishi Kapoor performed in front of Simi Garewal about the murder.”

‘Bismil’ helped choreographer Sudesh Adhana win the National Award. On this, Vishal said, “I used long, oversized puppets by Dadi Pudumjee, a great puppeteer, and he introduced me to Sudesh. I worked with them for two months in Paris, and right after that, I started shooting Haider. I brought all the sensibilities I learned during the opera, working with Dadi Pudumjee and Sudesh. It was so unconventional, so un-Bollywood-like. I'm saying this and I belong to Bollywood. And Sudesh won a National Award for that choreography.”

The song has been sung by Sukhwinder Singh. In The Times of India interview, Vishal Bhardwaj revealed, “Sukhwinder ko bahut khula gaane ki aadat hai - he's used to improvise a lot - but I told him, 'Is gaane mein track pe gaana padega, this is like an opera. We are telling a story in it'. Itna khoobsurat Gulzar sahab ne likha hai. I had only given him the phrase ‘Bismil Bismil Bulbule Bismil’, and from that, he wrote an entire epic. He’s a master.”

As CID is set to make a thrilling return on Sony Entertainment Television, bringing back its beloved cast of characters, which is Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, Dayanand Shetty as Inspector Daya, and Aditya Srivastava as officer Abhijeet. While the promo asserts their return it packs an unimaginable punch that has left fans shocked. Abhijeet and Daya, once inseparable friends, now stand as sworn enemies. The promo leaves us with the question – “Jo desh ke liye hamesha saath mein lade hai, aaj dushman ban kyun aamne saamne khade hai? Nikkhil Advani confesses that he ‘bullied’ Karan Johar in school; says, “Everybody used to bully Karan. Now today he can bully all of us”

While the dynamics of Karan Johar and Nikkhil Advani has been garnering quite a bit of attention ever since their fallout in 2007, it seems that their relationship has seen massive changes over the years. Confessing the same, filmmaker-producer Advani confessed that the relationship he shared with Johar was quite different when school mates. The Vedaa director confessed that he would bully KJo, who is now the head honcho of Dharma Productions.

In an interview with Cyrus Broacha, Nikkhil Advani discussed his journey with Karan Johar and shared his surprise when the filmmaker approached him to assist him in his debut directorial. “Karan [Johar] meets me and says, ‘Will you hear my script?’ and I say sure, and he goes, ‘I have only written half,’ and I say no problem. I go to his house… He then narrated the script, and I said it was very good, it was superb. He said, ‘Will you assist me?’ which is quite weird because I used to bully him in school. Because he was red house and I was green house and I was a batch holder.”, Advani confessed.

Furthermore, the filmmaker mentioned that Kjo was bullied quite a bit at that time but also pondered on how the tables have changed now. “I bullied him a lot. Everybody used to bully Karan, it was unfortunate. Now today he can bully all of us! So yeah, we started working on Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.”, he added.

Speaking about Karan Johar and Nikkhil Advani, the duo worked together for several years but had a fallout in 2007 while completing Shah Rukh Khan starrer Kal Ho Naa Ho which was written by Johar but directed by Advani. However, the two filmmakers are expected to be a happier space right now and is expected to have extended an olive branch to each other.

Currently, while Nikkhil is busy with his directorials and productions under his banner Emmay Entertainment, Karan Johar too is focusing on multiple projects under banners Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment.

Anushka Ranjan reflects on being questioned about her acting career post marriage: “Did I marry a bank?”

Anushka Ranjan has grown weary of sexism infiltrating daily life. The actor voiced her frustration about being repeatedly told to lower her voice, emphasizing that people often attempt to silence those who speak up, especially women.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Anushka discusses the sexism she has faced, the questions people posed after her marriage to actor Aditya Seal, and her recent fundraiser for BETI.

Talking on the normalization of sexism, Anushka stated, “That is something that needs to change. I have been told so many times that ‘you are too much, and you are going to spoil women don't speak like that’. What is that supposed to mean? Am I spoilt? Am I doing anything wrong? I have made sure to keep my family with self-respect and dignity in place no matter what.”

She added, “People get a little scared about these things. They want to silence anyone who is too loud in a room, especially if it's a woman. I have felt that many times and that bothers me. If a girl has an opinion, it's always taken in multiple ways as opposed to just being like she has a brain. Sometimes, people even go to the extent that, ‘Are you PMS-ing... And I am like, what do you mean?”

The actor believes these are questions women encounter nearly every day and said, “We are trying our level best from our capacity to change this. But it's going to take a collective effort from every woman and man.”

Reflecting on the trivial questions she's faced, Anushka recalls that after marrying actor Aditya Seal in 2021, a director asked her, “Are you still acting?” She responded, “Once after my marriage, a director asked me ‘are you still acting?’ I was like why would I stop earning money and feeding myself? Why would you assume that suddenly I will stop working? Did I marry a bank?”

She added, “These are some silly small things which we deal with in our little way. I don't usually get or be dramatic about certain things. There are bigger problems in the world. We have to pick our battles. And I have chosen to fight, and it is to ensure women's lives around me are in a better position.”

Anushka is dedicated to making a difference in women's lives. Known for her roles in Batti Gul Meter Chalu and Fittrat, she hosted the 18th edition of the BETI Fundraiser Show, founded by her mother, Anu Ranjan. She emphasized that the event aimed to highlight the Kolkata rape case.

“We had the Kolkata rape case in mind. It felt a bit frivolous to host just another event with celebrities. We wanted it to be more than an entertainment show. This year, we encouraged more people to come and speak, to join us, and to be part of this movement that requires everyone's collective effort,” she concluded.

Scheduled Production and Kiara’s Line-Up for 2025 The source further shared that Devi is set to go on floors by mid-2025, with a streamlined start-to-finish schedule. “The negotiations are in advanced stages, and once formalised, the official announcement will follow. This could be Kiara’s first film to start production after her ongoing commitments with War 2 and Toxic, which are currently in progress,” the insider confirmed. Advani’s involvement in this project highlights her willingness to diversify her roles and explore a genre that mixes fantasy with humour.

Annu Kapoor reveals Priyanka Chopra was uncomfortable over a ‘kiss scene’ in Saat Khoon Maaf; says, “She would’ve had no objection had I been the hero”

Priyanka Chopra starrer Saat Khoon Maaf which featured her with a bevy of popular Bollywood actors, from Neil Nitin Mukesh to John Abraham to Irrfan Khan, to Annu Kapoor, was directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Annu Kapoor who played her fifth husband Inspector Keemat Lal in the movie, recalled the shooting of the movie and revealed that PC was uncomfortable with their kissing scene.

In a podcast with ANI, Annu Kapoor recalled the incident where Vishal Bhardwaj told him about Priyanka Chopra not being comfortable with the intimate scene. While Annu asked Vishal to change the scene, the latter, however, remained insistent on it. “Vishal Bhardwaj told me that she is being shy. I told him, ‘If she’s uncomfortable, remove the scene’. But he said, ‘Why should I remove the scene? It’s important’. I’m a serious man, I don’t enjoy joking around on set. I got over with the combined shots. When it came to my solo shots, even assistants were impressed how I managed to perform them,” Annu stated in the podcast.

He went on to share that the actress may not have been this uncomfortable if he was a quintessential hero. “It’s obvious to me that Priyanka Chopra would’ve had no objection had I been the hero. Here I am, no personality, no looks, that’s why she had a problem. This made her very upset, I don’t know why,” he added.

In the past, Priyanka Chopra had shared her anger over a few comments made by Annu Kapoor regarding doing intimate scenes with the actress in the Vishal Bhardwaj thriller. “If he wants to do intimate scenes and pass such cheap comments, then he should do those kind of films. Such scenes were never part of our film,” she said, adding, “I don’t think he knew that his comments would upset me. But, his statements have really upset me. It was very wrong of him to speak the way he did.”, she had told Hindustan Times in 2011.

Yash confirms portrayal of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana; says, “I really like the shades and the nuances of particular character”

Several reports had claimed that Yash declined the role of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. However, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Yash broke his silence, confirming that he will indeed portray Ravana in the film, which also features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash added that Ravana is likely the only character he would consider playing in the epic.

In the interview, Yash shared that his first introduction to Ramayana came during a conversation with Namit Malhotra of DNEG and Prime Focus. Yash was impressed by Namit's passion, and their perspectives on the project aligned with his vision. Namit then asked if Yash would be interested in playing the role of Ravana in the film.

Yash said, “If the character is treated like a character… if this doesn’t happen today, then the film won’t happen. To make a film with that kind of budget, you need those kind of actors to come together and work for the project. It has to be beyond yourself and your stardom. We have to place the project and the vision first.” He added that the conversation progressed and he chose to co-produce the picture.

He added, “It’s a very fascinating character. I wouldn’t have done it for any other reason. In Ramayana, if you had asked me, ‘Would you play any other character?’ Probably not. For me, Ravana is the most exciting character to play as an actor so I really like the shades and the nuances of particular character. There’s vast scope to present it in a very different way. As an actor, I am very excited. Hopefully, it’s going to be a very unique approach to it.”

Pre-production for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is reportedly in full swing. Earlier this year, a leaked photo from the set, showing Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in costume, went viral on social media. Though the team has yet to make an official announcement, the film has been generating strong buzz for some time. The makers are targeting a 2025 release.

Salman Khan to postpone the shoot of Sikandar: Report

Salman Khan, who will mark his return in theatres in a massy avatar in Sikandar, kicked off this project with Sajid Nadiadwala earlier this year amid much excitement. However, the film seems to have faced a hurdle in the aftermath of the assassination of Baba Siddique. With the Khan family worried over the shooting outside their residence, followed by the demise of a close friend and an influential political figure, we hear that Salman has decided to stay put for the next few days at least.

Although the exact time has not been decided as to how long will Salman Khan will not be participating in the shoot, sources close to the actor have reportedly asserted that it is the best solution for the star as of now. “It is no longer enough to provide him stern security. For some time now, Salman would have to lie really now. He won’t be shooting for anything for quite a while, indefinitely I’d say,” a source was quoted saying to Times Now.

The source also mentioned about how Sikandar requires extreme dedication from Khan, which he will not be able to provide considering the emotional turmoil he has been undergoing after the sudden demise of Siddique. “Abhi kuch nahin kaha jaa sakta hai (Nothing can be said as of now). Sikandar requires a whole lot of choreographed action. Director Murugadoss needed Salman’s full attention. But right now that seems impossible. The way ahead is still very unclear. Right now, the most important thing is Salman and his family’s safety. That won’t be compromised under any circumstance,” the source added.

Coming to Sikandar, the film has A R Murugadoss as the director and boasts of an ensemble cast with Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady and Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, among others playing key roles. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is scheduled to release during Eid 2025. But, it is yet to be seen if the makers will be retaining this release date, after Khan’s sudden decision to take a break.

Rakul Preet's Health Update Rakul had shared an update on her health earlier this month, revealing that she had suffered a back spasm while performing an 80 kg deadlift during her workout routine. In a candid video message, she reassured her fans that she would “bounce back stronger.” 

"Hi, my lovely people. Well, here is a little health update. I did something very stupid. I did not listen to my body. I had a spasm, kept pushing it, and it turned into a major injury. I have been on the bed for the last six days. I think it will take another week or so for me to fully recover. I really hope I recover faster than that because it is not easy for me to give in and rest," Rakul said in her video.

Despite the setback, Rakul's positive energy and determination have been evident throughout her recovery process. Her fans are eagerly awaiting her full recovery so she can get back to her routine.

Salman Khan bolsters security amid rising threats; buys bulletproof car worth Rs. 2 crores from Dubai: Report

Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has taken proactive measures to enhance his personal security following a recent death threat issued by a notorious criminal gang. The threat, issued by associates of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has escalated tensions surrounding the actor's safety.

Bishnoi's gang, known for their involvement in organized crime and their protection of the blackbuck, a species considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, has accused Khan of a role in the illegal hunting of blackbucks. This ongoing dispute has led to a series of threats and intimidation tactics directed at the actor.

As per a Mid-dDay report, in response to the escalating threats, Khan has made significant investments in his personal security. One such measure involves the acquisition of a high-tech, bulletproof vehicle from Dubai. This armoured vehicle, valued at a substantial sum of Rs. 2 crores, is equipped with state-of-the-art safety features designed to protect against a range of potential threats.

The vehicle's advanced security features include explosive alert systems, reinforced glass capable of withstanding point-blank gunfire, and advanced camouflage technology to conceal the occupants from identification. Given the vehicle's specialized nature, it was necessary to import it from Dubai as it is not readily available in the Indian market.

This is not the first time Khan has taken such precautions. Last year, he also imported a bulletproof vehicle in response to earlier threats from the same criminal organization.

Despite the heightened security measures, Khan remains committed to his professional obligations. He has continued to fulfill his role as the host of the popular reality television show, Bigg Boss. The production team behind the show has implemented stringent security protocols to ensure Khan's safety while on set.

Khan's presence on the Bigg Boss set has been accompanied by a significant increase in security personnel. Guards have been instructed to verify the identification of all individuals entering the compound, and checkpoints have been established to monitor access. Additionally, the production crew has been instructed to remain on-site until the conclusion of each filming session.
